How BPHS describes Kumbha

BPHS describes Kumbha as medium, deep brown in colour, two-footed, strong by day, belonging to the west, and found in deep water. It rises with its head. Its picture is a man holding a pot. (BPHS ch. 4 sl. 21-21½.)

In the body of time, Kalapurusha, Kumbha is the ankles (sl. 4). These are qualities of the sign, used to read whatever falls in it; they are not a forecast for people born with the Moon there. When Kumbha is the rising sign instead, see Kumbha Lagna for its house lords.
